Biography

Nick Pinkelman

Following his work in professional sports, Nick decided to enter the private sector. This allowed him to have more control over his program design and pursue his passion of helping to develop college and high school athletes. Since leaving professional sports, Nick has successfully trained a number of college and professional athletes. Nick is also proud to have guided multiple male and female athletes beyond high school athletics. Nick has developed a culture at F2P of hard work, dedication, and success which has resulted in low turnover of athletes, many of whom have trained with Nick for over four years through high school and into college. The development of young men and women is the reason Nick purchase EEA from his partners in 2015 after working there for over 5 years. With the purchase came the new name and revitalized focus and commitment to the athletes.

Nick attended Wayzata High School and played collegiate football for Southwest Minnesota State University, graduating in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education.

After college, Nick coached in the Los Angles Angels of Anaheim organization where he served as the Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Extended Spring Training and Rookie Teams in Tempe, AZ, while also working to get the injured athletes throughout the organization back on the field. In addition, Nick has coaching experience at the Division 1 level, working with the University of Minnesota Strength and Conditioning Staff, working with a variety of teams including Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey, Men’s Basketball, Men’s Track and Field, and Men’s and Women’s golf.

After leaving the Angles organization, Nick joined Explosive Edge (the predecessor company of F2P) as the Assistant Athletic Performance Director. Nick had been designing programs for high school and college athletes at EEA for 5 years when he decided to buy out his partners and relaunch the company as F2P.

Nick has presented for the NSCA Minnesota State Clinic and Sanford Health Strength and Conditioning Clinic. Nick’s work has also been published in American Football Monthly as well as featured in USA Today.

Nick also holds a current PES certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
